  • Dairy Sen$e: Farm Tour Day

    The 3rd Annual Dairy Sen$e kicked off yesterday with 40 keen young dairy enthusiasts from across the province descending on the University of Guelph for three days of intense learning about the business side of dairy farming. Day one consisted of a number of in-class sessions with various industry speakers while today was farm tour day. The group visited Summitholm Holsteins in Lynden and Bridgeview Farm at Brantford. Participants were able to tour the two very different operations and also participated in number of different group sessions on both farms.

  • Ontario Spring Discovery Show

    115 of Ontario's finest Holsteins were on parade yesterday at the Ontario Spring Discovery Show at Ancaster Fairgrounds. Judge Adam Liddle of NY, had the task of sorting through the high-quality cattle and ultimately chose Richardo Dundee Dawnette as his Grand Champion and Salem Astronomical Justine as his Reserve.
