Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic

TD Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic

The Classic held annually at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair brings 4-H youth from across the country together in an atmosphere of spirited competition and sportsmanship. First held in 1979, this celebration of youth has utilized an enormous amount of resources from all of the contributors to this special event.

After thousands of ribbons and prizes, tons of food and beverages and hundreds of hours of volunteer work hours, the ultimate reward is the smiles of accomplishment that it brings to the faces of the competing 4-H'ers.

Inter-County Dairy Cattle Judging Competition

This judging competition, held yearly, was designed in 1989 to train 4-H’ers in the correct conformation of dairy animals, help in their decision making process and develop confidence while defending their decisions.

From this competition, four people are selected to represent Ontario at the National 4-H Dairy Judging Competition in Madison, Wisconsin, during the World Dairy Expo.  This trip is all-expenses paid!

Ontario Dairy Youth Award

Ontario Dairy Youth Award

This award was initiated in 1980 by the Ontario Holstein Spring Show Committee and is designed to recognize young people (ages 25-35) who are actively involved in the operation of a dairy farm, have shown leadership abilities and have made a contribution to their community and their breed.

The four district winners receive an all expenses paid trip to the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin, in October.
