Biographical Info

Kyle Rivington is from Carp, Ontario where he helps operate Glennholme Farms. Kyle is the seventh generation on this very family oriented farm where he milks 60 Holsteins along with his parents and wife, Sophie. Glennholme Farms is a two-time Master Breeder herd, first in 1977 and again in 2012. Kyle was a very active 4-H member. A highlight in Kyle’s 4-H years was in 2009 when he represented Ontario as a member of the Canadian team at the European Young Breeder School in Belgium. He was extremely fortunate to be the overall winner of this international competition. Kyle is also involved around his community as he is a director on the Carp Fair board. He has judged many 4-H shows including showmanship at the Western Canadian Classic show in 2016. Kyle has also officiated several Breeders Cup and shows in Eastern Ontario including the Glengarry County Holstein show. Kyle’s bilingualism gives him the opportunity to judge a wider range of shows including the Huntington County Holstein show in Quebec. When Kyle is not judging, he thoroughly enjoys showing and has great success with it. In 2014, Glennholme exhibited the All Canadian Jersey 4-H Yearling, in 2015 they exhibited the first place Mature Cow at the Royal Winter Fair’s Red and White show and in 2016, they bred and owned the first place march calf at the Royal Winter Fair’s Black and White show.
